Even though it is only a 7- day window of observation, the overlap is striking: Dorian Maximum sustained wind speeds (above) Augusts 28 – Sep 04; Three monitoring locations of kp-Index (below)
Apart from weather/storm anomalies, geomagnetic activity have a marked influence on human health and behaviour. Read more here: Some proves of integrated influence of geomagnetic activity and weather changes on human health.
“It is commonly agreed that solar activity has adverse effects first of all on enfeebled and ill organisms. In our study we have traced that under conditions of neurous and emotional stresses (at work, in the street, and in cars) the effect may be larger (∼30 %) for healthy people. […] The effect is most marked during the recovery phase of geomagnetic storms and accompanied by the inhibition in the central nervous system”. (Zakharov, G. et al 2001)
In the long-term perspective of a Grand Solar Minimum, as we are approaching it, geomagnetic storms and the coinciding aurora activity are generally less pronounced. In contrast, during Grand Solar Maximum, they are historically strongly associated with wars and mass excitability. Excerpt from Solar History: Chapter 21 Aurorae, War and Solar Maximum.
From correlation analysis it was found that both solar activity indices exhibit a strong correlation with all the geomagnetic indices. The correlation coefficients of the Sunspot Number with Kp-Index is 0.83;The correlation coefficients of the solar radio flux (F10.7 index) with Sunspot Number Is 0.83 as well. [1]
Paranormal Experiences
Geo-magnetic storm conditions (in the red and purple) are associated with aggression, psychiatric emergencies, heart attacks, HRV [Heart Rate Variability], anxiety, etc.
On the other end of the spectrum, (indicated by lowest green bars) very low geomagnetic activity was connected – among other entities by the CIA – with telepathic experiences and abilities. Further, Michael A. Persinger found that Intense Paranormal Experiences Occur during Days of Quiet, Global, Geomagnetic Activity.
Check the Kp- index (on my homepage, right hand side) to find a good time window for possibly meaningful dreams.

Fig. Relationship between the solar cycle and the frequency of magnetic storms. The red line shows the smoothed sunspot number which is an indicator of the solar cycle. The blue bars chart the number of storms each year. Reriod (1865- 2015); Images: British Geological Survey; Sun-Earth Connections: Introduction to the Science: Space Weather and Geomagnetic Storms;
“A geomagnetic storm is a major disturbance of Earth’s magnetosphere that occurs when there is a very efficient exchange of energy from the solar wind into the space environment surrounding Earth…The largest storms that result from these conditions are associated with solar coronal mass ejections (CMEs).” [1]
