Caught with their pants down?

Did the reporter – wearing light brown shorts and sandals – grab a rope, run toward the white truck that was floating downstream, then turn around to his equipment to go change into black pants and rubber boots and then go resume the rescue? Was some one else with light shorts and a red jacket hiding behind the white panel without helping in the rescue? Or is it what it looks like, an orchestrated stunt show? It would not surprise many these days since CNN was caught spreading Fake News numerous times. See video below.
