After 50 years, it is still the same media, politicians and government appointed scientists who are pushing the man-made climate change scares. But even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. One prediction by the NOAA from 1971 was partly based in reality, naturally induced “Ice Age” by 2070 (which would likely be a regular Grand Solar Minimum “Mini Ice Age”, rather than a full “glacial period” . But stupidly, however, the same scientists also said at the time that the new ice age will flood coastal cities AND form new glaciers; whereas now it is supposed to be the warming and the melting glaciers which have drowned all of the Maldives two years ago. (oh wait, they didn’t).
“The main conclusion of the meeting was that a global deterioration of our climate, by order of magnitude larger than any hitherto experienced by civilized mankind, is a very real possibility and indeed may be due very soon. The cooling has natural causes and falls within the rank of processes which produced the last ice age. This is a surprising result based largely on recent studies of deep sea sediments.”

The last 90,000 year cold period is correctly called a ”glacial period” not an ice age, and the cycle was calculated by Malenkovitch..
The planet has been in an ever deepening ice age for the past 40 million years or so, with many millions yet to go..
Towards the end of a ‘Malenkovitch’ interglacial period, the climate first gets warmer. This is caused by widespread deforestation, both natural, and human produced.
The loss of ice, causes plate tectonic movements due to changing loads, which are reflected in an increase of earthquake, and volcanic activity. These are accompanied by widespread forest fires, heavy unseasonal snowfalls, and exceptionally cold winters.
The combination of forest fires, and earthquake and volcanic action, put large amounts of particulates into the atmosphere, which cools the planet, at the same time as solar energy reaching the planet is reduced by the Malenkovitch cycle. This triggers a glacial period.
Deep sea, and lake core drillings, from which climate information covering the last million years, or ten Malenkovitch cycles, have shown that the change from interglacial to glacial, has occurred in as little as 20-50 years. This change may have already commenced.
